Court marriage is a legal process to solemnize the marriage of two partners. It is done in the court as per different laws in India. It allows the partners to get married irrespective of their religion or caste. According to Article 21 of the Indian Constitution, everyone has the right to marry the person of their choice. There are several laws for court marriage and marriage registration in Delhi NCR.
These laws can be as per the following:
- Special Marriage Act,
- Hindu Marriage Act,
- Anand Marriage Act,
- Indian Christian Marriage and Divorce Act, etc.
Court marriage is completely different from traditional marriage. During a traditional marriage, all the rituals and ceremonies are performed. But all court marriages are done in the court in the presence of a marriage registrar and witnesses.
